Why we love these new designs

Firstly, a huge thank you to everyone who helped us to celebrate five years of Titus. We had a fantastic week, with lots of scrummy offers flying off the shelves, and a wonderful night of celebration on Thursday. More on that below.

Suddenly, we seem to be heading towards autumn (the weather here in Yorkshire appears to have turned that corner already!) and all we want to do is get out our needles and create cosy cowls and sweaters to snuggle up in. Several fabulous new patterns have appeared on Ravelry in the last few weeks, all made in our yarns, and we're so excited to share them.

We're pleased to say that talented designer Isabell Kraemer has come up with three gorgeous patterns. Pictured above is Norderney, a chunky cabled sweater made in Dovestone dk Aire. The soft green works so well with the cable and the ribbed cuffs - we can just imagine wearing this for a walk on a chilly autumn morning. You'll need between four and six skeins to complete it, depending on size.
Isabell has also been working her magic with Dovestone dk in Ready For Fall (not shown - click the link for pictures), with a simple but striking motif on a relaxed sweater. Use one skein of the contrast colour along with between three and six skeins of the main colour, depending on size.

Meanwhile, the classic, cosy Dexter cardigan (not shown - click the link for pictures) is knitted in Titusand uses between three and five skeins, depending on size. We think it's gorgeous in our Coal shade.

Also new to Ravelry is the stunning Burano cowl, designed by Skein Reaction. It uses three skeins of Titus - the sample above was knitted in the bright shades of Bramley Baths, Rhubarb and Viking, but you could use any three of your choosing. The talented Anna Pack is the designer behind Skein Reaction, and for this cowl she used double knitting in the round for a reversible design. It would brighten any outfit and is perfect for sitting under the collar of a dark winter coat.

Staying with the cowl theme, Anni Howard has created the beautiful Parsnips and Carrots, a gorgeous cowl pattern made in two different colourways. Carrots combines Titus Viking with Titus White Rose (above), while Parsnips pairs Goathland with Filey (pictured on Ravelry), and both are so evocative of the root veg that inspire their names. It's the perfect pattern to take you into autumn: a relatively easy stranded knit, and it will look great as the weather starts to turn.

Anni is kindly offering 25% off the pattern to baa ram ewers when you buy it on Ravelry before Thursday 31st August - just click here and enter code ROOTVEG when you pay.

Thanks again to everyone who helped us celebrate Titus's fifth birthday, either in person or online. We had such a wonderful week, seeing all your creations and talking about yarn.

Our Titus 5th Anniversary Knit Night on Thursday was fantastic fun and we loved getting everyone together to share the Titus love. Pictured above is Jane admiring a customer's handiwork - an absolutely stunning blanket - while wearing her Hundred Acre Wood shawldesigned by Helen Stewart, part of our Titus 5th anniversary MAL.
Most of our special offers have been snapped up, but there are just a few skeins left of the stunning Titus Goddess Shades of Bishopthorpe. Created by The Knitting Goddess, it is a gorgeous range of purple and lilac shades. Click here to pick yours up while stock lasts.
